Thanks for posting.Great find yes but CAN THIS BE LEGAL?Those fake books are still for sale while this site is giving them away.I'm very skeptical of sites like this. Illegal DLs can lead to tons of computer problems via hidden trojans, malware, spyware and the like. YMMVMario,The site is legal. It's the same non profit that provides the internet 'Wayback machine'. The print function has been disabled in the pdf files so a user can not download the pdf and print out a copy.Good question and good practice to ask the question. It's a lot better to be wary than to get malware or trojans. Since you brought it up a related item - indices of songs to most fakebooks1) a master index of Real Book 1, 2, The New Real Book (Sher Music) 1,2,3, and the Standards Real Bookis a PDF link at top of that page), and2) Then three is the on-line searchable index of ALL (except the OP listed one)so if you need the basics of almost any tune, mainly standards and jazz, you can probably find which book to look in.

Hi GuysThis is not an iRealb question but it's probably occurred to iPad usersDoes anyone know of a PDF version of the real books that has a linked index and a good search function?I've got about 20 real books in PDF format but the indexes aren't linked, which is a pain if you're lookingfor a song quickly at at gig or rehearsalAt the moment the best I've come up with is a PDF reader ( like Good Reader ) and put bookmarks at the songs I regularly play ( time consuming considering how many songs there are in the real books )Has anyone good some suggestions?Thanks Tim. Unreal Book works for me. Not perfect, but fast enough. Import all the PdF books (real books 1,2,3 - Colorado, etc.) and the Master Index page. Find thetune on the,aster index, go to your preferred book and enter the page number of chart. Unreal book lets you set the page 1 to match pg 1 of each book. Then, from the GO button in the menu you simply enter the page of a tune and it takes you right to it.

Again, not perfect but I can find a tune, go to necessary book enter page and be there in less than 20 seconds.
